Miller & Ngo provides pro bono legal assistance to scores of U.S. citizens being persecuted by their government for traveling to Cuba.  We believe the U.S. government has no right to prevent its citizens from traveling to any country they wish to discover the world or to either bear or bare witness, and that U.S. policy with respect to Cuba is especially reprehensible.  Among our clients is piano tuner Ben Treuhaft, whose “Send a Piana to Havana” project [www.sendapiana.org] has overcome years of White House, Treasury and State Department opposition to distributing donated pianos to Cuban churches and schools.  In 2009 we sponsored a visit to Cuba by renowned pianist, Idil Biret, who after performing with Cuba’s national orchestra, returned to New York City to perform a benefit concert there.
