Dear Editor:
Political reality (that is, our pay to play system) requires compromise, but where does the drug industry get off charging outrageously high non-competitive drug prices, undermining the social good of providing universal health care ["White House Affirms Deal on Drug Cost" 8/6]?  If socialized medicine is so terrible for the injured and sick, why is it OK for us to subsidize drug companies?
Sincerely,
Tom Miller
